Höhlenbrüter im Wald

Vier typische Höhlenbrüter des Waldes sind der Schwarzspecht, die Hohltaube, die Haubenmeise und der Waldkauz.
Als Brutstätte nutzen alle Arten Baumhöhlen, die sie entweder selbst zimmern oder von anderen Arten übernehmen.
Der Schwarzspecht und die Hohltaube sind in den Naturerlebnisdörfern in alten Laub- und Laubmischwäldern zu finden.
Haubenmeisen und Waldkäuze sind noch in allen Naturelebnisdörfern vertreten, zu Gesicht bekommt man die nachtaktiven Waldkäuze jedoch selten, nur ihr Ruf ist häufiger zu hören.

Black woodpeckers and pigeons are found in the Naturerlebnisdörfer in old deciduous and mixed deciduous forests.
The crested tit and the tawny owl are still present in all Naturerlebnisdörfer, but you rarely see the nocturnal owls, only their hoot can be heard more frequently.
